Backpack Trip
After having such a great success with camping, I decided I wanted to do a backpack trip. The idea was for me to survey a place and see if it would work out to have a men’s backpack trip from Highlands. Although the 1.5 mile hike in wasn’t long, it was beautiful. The next day (Saturday) we took a hike up to Harmonica Arch. It was about .8 mile long hike that gained at least 800 ft of elevation. Needless to say, the climb up was VERY steep. The views at the top made it all worth it.
I must say, camping by a crystal clear, freezing cold mountain stream, hearing the wind in the trees, and not seeing anybody other than our group (two brothers from church came along) for 24 hours was a welcome retreat. I can’t wait to do it again.
Michael has a great camera and knows how to use it. He gave me lots of pictures. I picked the ones that seemed to summarize the trip best. Enjoy!
