Mackinaw Island
Shaun and I left the girls with my parents and took a trip to Mackinaw. Shaun had never been, and I had only been once. Neither of us had been to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, so we decided to cross the bridge into the U.P. and stay in a Bed and Breakfast in St. Ignace. We arrived late afternoon, took a nap, and then had a nice fish dinner overlooking the water. We were very full after that and took a walk along the water to work up an appetite for ice cream.
The next morning we took a ferry to the island. It was cloudy, but cleared up in the afternoon. We ate breakfast on the island and then took a carriage tour. It was a nice ride and we learned some history. We had a great time. Thanks mom and dad for watching the girls.
