It was nice for my parents to see the kids open their presents.

We went the day after Thanksgiving, and a good friend of ours watched the kids for us. The Broadmoor is such a special place and is so beautiful. They had everything decorated for Christmas and had their tree lighting ceremony while we were there. Thanks so much mom and dad for taking us! We had a wonderful time together.

We took a golf cart and explored the golf course. A view of the Broadmoor from the golf course. Family bingo! We didn't win anything. Gingerbread houses. Everything was so beautifully decorated for Christmas. Christmas trees everywhere. Friday night Dinner Another family bingo game. Dinner Saturday night at The Golden Bee. See the bees on our shirts? Then we went to Justin and Emily’s apartment for cake. Emily had this awesome cake made for Justin in the shape of a diver. I enjoy celebrating my b-day with my brother.

For Thanksgiving, everyone came to our house, and Justin fried a turkey for us. It was beautiful outside, perfect for frying a turkey. We had a nice day together as a family.

It started raining last night and then it turned to snow. It has been snowing on and off ever since. Naomi is at school, so I got Esther and Ethan all dressed up and we went for a walk to the mailbox, and then played in the back yard. Ethan loves the snow and cried when he had to come in.

I can’t believe I’m a school mom. =) The Lord graciously allowed us to put her in Ambleside School of Colorado which is a private school that is renting our church facilities. We became familiar with the school over a year ago when they first approached the church about renting. Shaun was really impressed with the school leadership, and we both began to research and pray about Naomi going there. It is nice that they are using our church. Naomi is in a familiar environment and her dad gets to take her to school each morning. She goes all day Monday, Wednesday, and half a day Friday. So far she seems to enjoy it. The school has uniforms, and I am so glad. Naomi likes clothes a little too much, and with the uniforms her choices are limited. On her first day of school she came down to breakfast in a red polo, got her “first day of school” pictures taken, and then wanted to change into another shirt. So, we let her. Like I said the choices are limited, and it makes getting dressed in the morning a little easier. Esther misses Naomi while she is gone, but we all seem to be adjusting well. I’m looking forward to getting used to the “new normal”. It has been a busy week.

We rented a cabin in the mountains about 2 hours away, and enjoyed some nice relaxing family time together. It was wonderful! It is so peaceful and beautiful in the mountains, and the weather is just perfect. I’m so glad we were able to make some great memories as a family.

This deer greeted us as soon as we arrived at the cabin. The name of our cabin was Fox Run. Our sweet kids! We enjoyed taking walks together. Enjoying the wonderful weather. Ethan loved running around. . . and playing with the rocks. Thought this trunk was cool. Naomi's "bow and arrow". =) Ethan Esther A pretty flower Naomi found. Sunset from the master bedroom balcony. P1050843 The girls loved their bunk beds, or as they called them "bonk beds". The girls had fun in the hot tub. We enjoyed it at night after the kids were in bed. Taking another walk.
