The last week of July we went on a family vacation and rented a cabin in the mountains. It was wonderful! We had a nice relaxing time and enjoyed being together as a family. We mostly stayed around the cabin, but one day we went into town and walked around Evergreen Lake. I’m so glad we were able to spend time away and make some great family memories.

A month ago we went tent camping in the mountains for 2 nights. No running water, and no bathroom, but we survived and I would actually like to do it again. After a 4 and 1/2 hour drive and over a few mountain passes we arrived at our destination. It was 4th of July weekend and camp sights were already filling up. We were getting discouraged when we couldn’t find anything. But alas, we found the perfect spot. Far off the road, in a wooded area, and by the river. We unloaded all our things and set up camp. We were camping with another family, the Rogers, and our good friend Justine. The Rogers family is the best family to go camping with. They have everything you need to make a good camp. We had a great time of fellowship and enjoyment of beautiful scenery. I only took a few pictures, but Michael Rogers has a great camera and took over 700 pictures. As you can tell he loves to take pictures. He gave us a CD with most of the pictures, all of them wouldn’t fit on one CD. I have only included the pictures that have people in them. We had a nice Independence Day picnic after church at the Tucker’s home. Justin roasted a pig for the main dish and everyone else brought salads or dessert. It was a lovely day. Later we planned to see fireworks, but it hailed and rained and the fireworks were cancelled. They have been re-scheduled for tonight, so hopefully we will get a chance to see them.

On Sunday we celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary. We praise the Lord for seven years together. When we were engaged and first married people would tell me that each year our love would grow deeper. I had a hard time believing them. I thought “how could I love Shaun anymore than I already do?” Well, I’m here to tell you that our love has grow deeper and I’m looking forward to it growing deeper with each year the Lord gives us. I Love You Shaun!

For this post, I thought I would put up a picture from each of our anniversaries. Some pictures are not on the exact day of our anniversary, but around the same time. I had fun looking back and remembering what we did each year.

We had a nice relaxing Memorial Day. Jon and Ruth hosted a cookout at their house and we all had a nice time of food and fellowship with friends and family.
