It started raining last night and then it turned to snow. It has been snowing on and off ever since. Naomi is at school, so I got Esther and Ethan all dressed up and we went for a walk to the mailbox, and then played in the back yard. Ethan loves the snow and cried when he had to come in.

It was a beautiful day and we wanted something to do, so we packed up the kids and headed out. The museum is free and they have a farm with all sorts of farm animals. The best part was the sheep and lambs.

We left as a family on Thursday and then some of our Sunday School couples joined us on Friday night. The girls love camping! I’m so glad. We had a nice time alone as a family on Thursday night and most of Friday. We all had a nice time of fellowship when the other couples came up. We cooked hot dogs over the fire and later had s’mores. The next morning we had a wonderful breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, and pancakes before we packed up and headed home.

All set up with lots of blankets. Ethan in his pack-n-play. Camp is all set up, time for a snack. The camp kitchen. Dinner time! Getting the fire going to keep us warm. All snuggled with daddy. It is a 3 hour drive and we left church at 5:30 in the morning. We got all the way up there only to find that the trail head was closed for maintenance. We were all disappointed, but found another trail and ended up having a great time together.

Getting ready to start the hike. Daddy was studying the map while I took a picture of Ethan's cute little feet. It was cold in the canyon before the sun was high enough to get warmth to us. Ruth borrowed Ethan's blanket for some warmth. Crossing the river on a log. Stopping to look at some scenery. Now we had the warmth of the sun. P1040359 I think Ethan liked his ride. The trail was narrow enough that we looked like we were walking in a line. There is a little waterfall behind us, but it is hard to see. We walked along the river most of the time. It was absolutely beautiful. I enjoyed the many mountain wildflowers, and just had to take pictures of them. They were so unique and different. Hope you enjoy the pictures.
