Naomi is enjoying her new backyard. The house we are renting has a playhouse and play set. She loves being outside. I try and take her out everyday before her afternoon nap. It gets her nice and tired. In the playhouse she likes to dig in the sand and open the shutters and play “peek-a-boo”. She discovered yesterday that it is fun to walk up the slide and then get down on her belly and slide back down. Here are some pictures of her having fun.

I got up early Saturday morning and drove with another family 3 hours to the finish line. I was so glad to see the Highlands Trail Runners cross the finish line. They all did a great job! We are so proud of you.

I’m happy to report that we all safely and successfully completed the Colorado Relay. We actually surprised ourselves in that we shaved 2 hours off of our projected finish time. I’ve included a picture of the team at the finish line on Saturday morning. There will be relay accounts and pictures to be posted on our team website and blog. Thanks for your prayers!

Well, we are no longer the owners of a condo. We moved out on Monday and had the closing on Wednesday. Everything went very well with the closing and the move. We are living in a rental house while we look around for a house to buy. Thank you so much to all those who helped us move. You were a great help. I didn’t have to lift a thing and a lot was unpacked for me. We have many things still in boxes, but we are trying to leave it that way in hopes that we will be moving again soon. Please pray as we continue to search for a house.
Here are some pictures of Naomi among the boxes. We put her in the big box to keep her from running out the door while it was open.

Shannon has been asking me for some time now to write a post about an upcoming athletic event that 10 of us from Highlands Baptist Church will be participating in. Well, the event starts in just a few more hours and is called the Colorado Relay.
The Colorado Relay is a 170 mile relay that traverses 4 mountain passes. No, I’m not doing it alone! There are 10 of us from HBC that are running (or should I say winching) our way up and over the mountains. Our first runner will cross the start line at 5am Friday morning (about 18 hours from when I write this) and we hope to all cross the finish line some time before 11am on Saturday. We will be running through the night as we each run 3 sections of the relay.
My first section is a 4.1 mile uphill run starting at about 10,000 ft and finishes at about 11,000 ft. Oxygen is pretty skimpy that high so pray for me. My next section begins at night so I’ll be using a headlamp to see where I’m going as I run about 7 miles up the next pass into Copper Mountain. My final leg is another 6.5 miles that is relatively flat with some downhill in it.
Our team has a website you can visit and a blog that we might even be able to do some live updates on during the race. If you are interested check us out and pray for us! We’ll need it!
