Our journey of faith continues.  We have no house and no offers out.  We have been packing all week and are moving to a rental house on Monday.  We are so thankful we have a place to go.  The closing for our condo is set for Thursday, September 20th.  Please continue to pray as we trust in the Lord’s leading.

This is for all those who, for some reason, want to see pictures of me pregnant. My due date is fast approaching. Saying I’m due in November sounds far away. Shaun put a countdown timer for my due date over to left and it says I’m due in 1 month and 25 days. That sounds a lot closer, and as of right now we don’t have a place to live. Lord willing we will find out today if our offer was accepted. My prayer is that we are in a house and somewhat settled before the baby is born. I have been putting it off, but packing must begin today. We will post more once we hear about our offer. Please pray!

Today we went to Highlands Ranch Days at the Highlands Ranch Mansion. Amy had told us about it and we thought it would be a fun family thing to do. We took a tour of the old mansion and then went on a hayride. Naomi had fun cruising through the mansion. It was nice because most the the rooms are empty and we didn’t have to worry about her touching anything. What a place! There are 6 fireplaces, 14 bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, and many other rooms to fill up the 22,000 square feet. After seeing the mansion we waited in line for the horse drawn hayride. Of course Naomi didn’t want to stand still so we took turns following her around and letting her explore.

Well, our offer was not accepted. After a long weekend of waiting and praying we found out on Tuesday evening that another offer had been accepted. We were crushed. It was very hard for us. We know that the Lord is teaching us lessons of Faith though all this. On Wednesday before church we went and saw another house. It is very similar to the one we had seen on Saturday, and we even like it better. We went ahead and put in an offer that evening. Today we heard that other competing offers have been put in. The Realtor is going to give all offers to the bank tomorrow and the bank will make their decision in 48 hours (Monday by 5pm). So, we should find out by Monday night if our offer has been accepted. Please pray with us as we wait. We want the house that the Lord has for us. If this is not the one He has something better.

We put an offer on a house today. We are so excited. All week we have been looking and praying for a house. We were finding nothing, and both of us were getting discouraged. Yesterday when I was praying for a house the Lord gave me a verse “Ye have not because ye ask not”. I said, “O.K. Lord, I’m going to ask specifically. Please help Shaun and I to find a house tomorrow and put an offer on it.” Praise the Lord for answered prayer. I don’t know why, but I wasn’t expecting my prayer to be answered. We looked at a house after lunch, but didn’t like it. Then we went down town to do some shopping. My cell phone rang and our realtor was on the line saying he had a house for us and we had to come see it. We told him we would call when we were headed back. We weren’t in much of a hurry, we had given the whole situation over to the Lord. Well, we fell in love with the house. It has everything we wanted and more that we hadn’t even prayed about. The offer is in. Please pray with us as we wait to see if it has been accepted. Please also pray that our condo stays under contract and sells. The Lord knows all the pieces that need fall into place. This is a big journey of faith for us. May the Lord’s name be praised and glorified through it all.
