I can’t believe a month has already gone. Esther turned a month old on Wednesday. On Tuesday all of our family left. I was so sad to see them go. They left me alone with 2 kids. Ahhh! I think Naomi is having a hard time adjusting with everyone gone. Esther is doing great. Not much has changed with her in a month. She is starting to be awake more, and she seems to like watching her big sister.

I have the privilege of sharing my birthday with my brother Justin. He was born on my second birthday. We have always enjoyed sharing a birthday. He was able to come to Colorado for Thanksgiving and our birthdays. This morning our parents took us out to breakfast. Tonight we have a praise service at church and a pie fellowship. After church we are going to have birthday cake and ice cream. I have had great birthday. I’m so glad my family was here to celebrate it with me.

We got a picture of Naomi and Esther together. Shaun’s mom was able to capture the moment on her camera. I thought it was very cute and had to share it. Naomi is doing good as a big sister, and she is always trying to help.

I have been wanting to go on a hayride this fall in the worst way. Well, I got my wish. On Monday the school took a field trip to the foothills for a hayride and bonfire. We all went and had a great time. It was a different experience than a Michigan hayride. We were in the foothills on dirt roads that were winding and steep. The hay was on a trailer, not a hay wagon, and the trailer was pulled by an SUV. At one point the driver had to back down 3 times to get a running start up a steep hill. I was worried. Shaun had Naomi and Esther was in her car seat. Well, we made it there and back with no mishaps. We had a nice picnic lunch by a lake and then enjoyed hot chocolate. We had beautiful weather and it was so nice to get some fresh mountain air.
