Yesterday, while the girls were napping, I was sitting on the couch enjoying the quiet and catching up on e-mail. It was a beautiful day and I had the doors open to the back yard. Here in Colorado you don’t have to worry about bugs, so I also had the screen door open. Well, in flew a bird and tried to land on the light above the kitchen table. It gave me quite a scare. A million thoughts were going through my head as I watched. Luckily it flew back out, so I got up and closed the screen door. Today, there has been a beautiful yellow and green bird hanging around our yard. I think it must be someones pet.  First it was in the front yard, then in the back yard sitting in the tree that is just in front of the patio doors. I’m keeping my screen door shut today!

On Monday, Esther tried rice cereal for the first time. She loves it! Here are some pictures of her first bites.

Esther turned 6 months old on Monday. She had her 6 month check-up yesterday, and passed with flying colors. She weighs 14lbs., 11oz. and is 2 feet 2 inches long. Esther has so much more personality now. She is always moving. She is trying to sit up by herself, and she loves to be on the floor so she can scoot around. Naomi is still her favorite person and her little face lights up when Naomi is around. She is a happy healthy baby and we thank the Lord for her.

Happy May 1st everyone! It’s snowing here. I thought it was April Showers, May Flowers? It was 80 degrees yesterday. I actually got a little sunburn. What’s your weather like this fine May day?
