Our little energizer bunny had a crash on Thursday night. Esther was trying to climb up the slide of the little jungle gym we have on our patio. She didn’t make it and scraped up her forehead. It was so sad, but as soon as she had stopped crying and we put her down, she tried climbing the slide again. Silly girl! She is determined. Her little head looked so sore. I took a picture of it the night it happened, and then the next day. Baby skin heals so fast and it is looking better already.

Our little ball of energy turned 10 months today. Boy does she keep us on our toes. Esther is walking around the furniture and standing on her own. Her favorite past time is to climb the stairs. Esther does things that Naomi never even thought of doing. She lifts the toilet seat and gets her hands caught when it comes back down, then she heads for the toilet paper and starts to unroll it all. She is never still! Oh! Did I tell you? Esther got her first two teeth shortly after turning 9 months. I was so surprised. She wasn’t even crabby. We thank the Lord for the privilege He has given us to raise our two girls. Please pray that we raise them for His glory.

On Thursday night we had some friends over. They brought some delicious hamburgers and fries, and the “grill master” cooked for us. Then we enjoyed a refreshing berry dessert.

On Saturday we took a picnic lunch the the park. It was beautiful. We had the park to ourselves. We sat under a tree and enjoyed the sunshine and cooling breeze. We had a very relaxing time.

We were proud of the way Naomi was on the playground. She was very brave. She climbed around, went through the tunnel, and down the slide all by herself. Esther enjoyed practicing how to stand.

I have been a bit behind on blogging, so I thought I would combine 2 events into one post. Last week we went to the park with some friends. This park has fountains that the kids can play in. The area we live in has some nice parks, and we had a great time. The water was very cold, so the only one that wanted to get in all the way was Esther. She was having a blast! After some time in the water we had a picnic and enjoyed the beautiful weather.

On Friday we went with some friends to the Flying W Ranch. It is still a working ranch today and they have turned it into a little cowboy town where they serve you a chuck wagon dinner. We had a great time despite the rain and cold. The dinner was served on tin plates and you drank from tin cups. It was delicious! After dinner there was some great fiddling by the cowboys!
