This morning a small group from church participated in the Highlands Ranch Thanksgiving Day 5K run/walk. It was a bit nippy, but not as bad as last year. I was proud of everyone who got up and out this morning. Good job everybody!
I was especially proud of my dear little wife. About a month ago Shannon began working hard at building up to a 3.1 mile distance. She faithfully persisted and carved out time to run amidst the many demands of being a wife and mother of two toddlers. She did a great job today and finished her first official 5K race. Great job Shannon! I’m so very, very proud of you! This year, like every other year, I have much to be thankful for – Shannon, you are at the top of the list. ; )
Special thanks to my brother-in-law Justin Woodbury for taking many of these pictures.

We are having a wonderful time with my family in town. This afternoon we all took a trip to Breckenridge, a nice ski town. We walked down Main street and did some shopping. Then we all had dinner together.

Tuesday morning, Uncle Justin was playing the piano. Naomi enjoys it whenever we play the piano. She started to sing along. Although it’s hard, you can occasionally hear her singing as Justin plays the piano.

Justin and I share the same b-day. He was born on my 2nd birthday. We were not able to be together on our birthdays this year. So, when he arrived in CO on Monday, we celebrated together. We had a delicious ice cream cake from Cold Stone Creamery.

We’ve been having fun with the balloons left over from Shannon’s birthday celebration. Who knew how entertaining balloons could be?! I had a great time rubbing a balloon on Esther’s head and watching her run around with it stuck to her head. It was hilarious. Thank you Lord for these times of fun and precious memories.
