Yesterday was Shannon’s 30th birthday. She had a birthday surprise of going to a spa for some pampering. Afterwards we had a delicious dinner prepared by Dad & Mom Woodbury. We ended our celebrations by having a party with many of our dear friends from church. We had a great time eating cake and ice cream, and playing games.
Happy Birthday Shannon! You are an amazing wife, a terrific mother, and dear best friend. I thank the Lord for you often and consider myself blessed beyond measure.

We have enjoyed beautiful 60 and 70 degree weather since it snowed last. Crazy! We love it. Today it is cold again, but at least we had a few days of warm, sunny, weather. My parents arrived on Monday, and my mom and I took the girls to the park on Tuesday. What fun! The girls were very tired and took long naps. It was great.

It is hard to believe that it is November. The weather here has been nice. Sometimes cold, but mostly warm. This past Friday, we got snow. It was beautiful, fluffy, wet snow. I took the girls out to experience the first snow of the season. They didn’t last long, and both ended up crying. Poor little Esther was so bundled up she couldn’t stand. I put her down on the patio, and she fell and scraped her little nose. I felt so bad. Her poor little nose looks so sore.

We had some friends stay overnight as they were passing through on their way to Glenwood Springs, CO. The Master’s are missionaries and were speaking at one of their supporting churches. Gretchen is a friend of mine and the last time I had seen her was at our wedding. I had never met her husband and daughter, who is exactly 2 weeks older than Esther. We had a nice visit, and were glad to meet the whole family.

We posted a video of us singing “Happy Birthday” to Esther and now I thought we’d put some other video we took during her birthday celebration. It’s nothing glamorous – just the basic home video kind of stuff.
