Little Monkey Bizness is an indoor play place for kids with a coffee/sandwich shop attached for the parents. I have know about this place for a while, but had never taken the girls. Well, on Saturday Little Monkey Bizness threw themselves a birthday party celebrating their first year of business in our area. Free admission, free pizza, free cake, free face painting . . . did I say free? It was great! The girls had a blast! I think we will be going back.

Every year our church has a couples retreat, and Shaun and I have had the privilege of going every year. The first one we went to was right after we were married, so this was our 7th retreat. We always have a great time together and with other couples. This year was at a new place, and it was great. I thank the Lord for the marriage He has given us and for the privilege of getting away together to grow closer to the Lord and each other.

Shaun and his team did the Colorado Relay this past weekend. The relay is a 170 mile race through the mountains of Colorado. There are 10 people on the team and each person runs 3 legs. The race begins at 5:30 a.m. Friday morning, goes through the day, night, and ends on Saturday. Some of the families of the team members went to watch the relay. We went up Friday afternoon, watched part the the race, ate dinner with some of the team, and then spent the night so we could see the team finish on Saturday morning. We had a great time. The team did an awesome job.

Mimi and Papa sent the girls some backpacks filled with coloring books, crayons, and a few other goodies. We only use them for Sunday nights. It keeps the girls entertained during choir practice, and helps Naomi sit still during church services. Thanks Mimi and Papa, the girls love their backpacks.

Esther went to Sunday School for the first time on Sunday. She doesn’t turn 2 until the end of October, but the teacher asked if she could join them in September because they started thier new quarter of lessons. I think she enjoyed being with the big kids.
