Sleeping kids are the best! Every night before we go to bed we check on our girls. We enjoy watching them sleep and cover them up one last time. Last night this is how we found Naomi, sound asleep. When we put her back in bed she never even woke up. So sweet!

We had a great visit with friend while were in Virgina for Shaun’s marathon. It was a nice mini vacation for us, and we were well taken care of.  It was nice being away, but it is always nice coming home. It was the longest I had ever been away from the girls, and we missed them. We brought them back some marathon shirts, which they proudly wore.

We thank the Lord for the safety and protection He gave while we were away.

Shaun did awesome on his first marathon. I’m so proud of him! Yesterday we picked up race information, mapped out some of the race, rested, and ate. Today we got up at 4:00 a.m., headed out the door at 5:30 a.m., and the race started at 8:00 a.m. There was a lot of walking and waiting, but I got to see Shaun start, I saw him at mile 17, and I got to see him finish. He finished the 26.2 miles in 3 hours, 39 minutes, 38 seconds. Awesome job!
