A month ago we went tent camping in the mountains for 2 nights. No running water, and no bathroom, but we survived and I would actually like to do it again. After a 4 and 1/2 hour drive and over a few mountain passes we arrived at our destination. It was 4th of July weekend and camp sights were already filling up. We were getting discouraged when we couldn’t find anything. But alas, we found the perfect spot. Far off the road, in a wooded area, and by the river. We unloaded all our things and set up camp. We were camping with another family, the Rogers, and our good friend Justine. The Rogers family is the best family to go camping with. They have everything you need to make a good camp. We had a great time of fellowship and enjoyment of beautiful scenery. I only took a few pictures, but Michael Rogers has a great camera and took over 700 pictures. As you can tell he loves to take pictures. He gave us a CD with most of the pictures, all of them wouldn’t fit on one CD. I have only included the pictures that have people in them. We went tent camping at the beginning of July (pictures soon to come) in the mountains. It was absolutely beautiful. I enjoyed the many mountain wildflowers, and just had to take pictures of them. They were so unique and different. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

We had a nice Independence Day picnic after church at the Tucker’s home. Justin roasted a pig for the main dish and everyone else brought salads or dessert. It was a lovely day. Later we planned to see fireworks, but it hailed and rained and the fireworks were cancelled. They have been re-scheduled for tonight, so hopefully we will get a chance to see them.

Well, this third month went by slower than the first two months of Ethan’s life. I’m glad things have slowed down a little.  He is getting so big! We get lots of smiles and he likes talking to us. He is such a good little boy, and has started sleeping through the night. =)

Lakeside Park is an amusement park that is full of  kiddie rides. Naomi and Esther were so brave. Naomi rode more rides than Esther, but I think they both had a fun time.
