We’ve been having fun with the balloons left over from Shannon’s birthday celebration.  Who knew how entertaining balloons could be?!  I had a great time rubbing a balloon on Esther’s head and watching her run around with it stuck to her head.  It was hilarious.  Thank you Lord for these times of fun and precious memories.

We posted a video of us singing “Happy Birthday” to Esther and now I thought we’d put some other video we took during her birthday celebration.  It’s nothing glamorous - just the basic home video kind of stuff.

Esther got her pictures taken last week. She did a great job, and was a little sweetie for the photographer. If you would like to see them, click here.

It is hard to believe that Esther is a year old. We had a small birthday party for her on Tuesday night. Amy came over for dinner, and then we got both sets of parents on the webcam to celebrate. We were sad that they couldn’t be here in person, but glad they were still able to participate. As you will see from the pictures, we had a great time. Esther was in her glory!

Can you believe it? Esther took her fist steps last night, and we didn’t even see them. She was at church, and we were out on visitation. When we got back to church they told us she was walking and we didn’t believe it. We thought we were being teased. They said that Esther was standing in the middle of the room and took about 4 steps. They didn’t know it was her first steps. Well, we tried to get her to walk for us again. She took a few steps on her own with much coaxing, and we were proud of her. I guess we really did see some of her first steps. Esther loves to stand. I wonder if she realized she walked on her own? I wonder if it will continue?
