First Snow of the Season

It is hard to believe that it is November. The weather here has been nice. Sometimes cold, but mostly warm. This past Friday, we got snow. It was beautiful, fluffy, wet snow. I took the girls out to experience the first snow of the season. They didn’t last long, and both ended up crying. Poor little Esther was so bundled up she couldn’t stand. I put her down on the patio, and she fell and scraped her little nose. I felt so bad. Her poor little nose looks so sore.

Pumpkin Harvest Festival

Last weekend we took the girls to a pumpkin festival. It was at a historical park close to down town Denver. It used to be a stage coach stop long ago. It was a beautiful fall day and we had a great time. There were many fun things to do. We went on a hay ride, had some Indian Fry Bread, walked around to enjoy the sights, and then had a picnic lunch. We were all tired after lunch, and came home for a nice nap.

Happy Anniversary!

June 6, 2003

Five years ago today I married the love of my life. We had a great day together as a family. This evening we got a baby sitter and had dinner together. We went to Pappadaux’s Seafood Kitchen. It was very yummy! We had never been there before. It is a huge place and has a neat atmosphere. I am so thankful for the five years the Lord has given us together.

It’s Snowing!

Actually it’s not snowing any more, but it has been most of the day. Heavy, wet, slushy snow.  I wanted another snow storm in March, but now that it is almost the middle of April I want the snow to be gone.  Anyway, here are some pictures of the girls. There is really no theme with these pictures, just cute things we saw and wanted to capture on camera. Enjoy!

Naomi likes hats and wanted to try daddy’s new helmet on.Esther likes to try and sit up in the swing while it is swinging. It makes us laugh.Esther thought she was a big girl. First time in the highchair.Holding her bottle by herself. Shaun said she had such a tight hold, her hands were white.

A Trip To The Zoo

Spring break is this week, so we took the girls to the zoo. It was a beautiful day and I think everyone else had the same idea. The place was packed, and there was no parking. We had to park down some side street and walk a good distance to get there. We had a great time in spite of the crowds. The elephants were the best. We got to see them up close and they were getting a bath. The zoo keeper gave one of the elephants a command and it laid down so they could scrub its’ back. It was so neat. We enjoyed our picnic lunch on a bench in front of the bald eagles. What beautiful birds. After lunch we visited some more animals and then headed home. Naomi looked so tired and we thought she would fall asleep on the way home, but no such luck. She was singing and talking. No such luck when we got home either. We put her down for a nap and she didn’t fall asleep for almost an hour. Then she crashed. When we checked on her she had taken off her dress. What a silly girl.

The cheetah’s were snuggling.Watching the elephants get a bath.Lunch time. Watermelon is her favorite.Naomi liked the monkeys.Esther was such a sweetie, just talking away. The bears were snoozing in the sun.Naomi was fully clothed when we put her down for her nap.
